Meet the Team

More than beautiful photographs & videos, we're here to help you remember the people, emotions and moments that matter most.

About Senica

Our Story

Senica Productions started with a borrowed camera. Sebastian, then a delicatessen and cheese buyer for one of Singapore’s biggest supermarkets, first picked up photography shooting church events on a friend’s DSLR. What began as practice turned into requests: couple shoots, a pre-wedding overseas, then more wedding enquiries than he could keep up with alone.
Monica, a journalism and media graduate working in fintech marketing at the time, saw something worth building. In 2015, they left stable, well-paying careers to start Senica together, Sebastian behind the camera, Monica across marketing and editing. It was a risk with no guarantees: wedding photography is a volatile industry, and building a studio from nothing took years of trial, error, and long stretches without certainty it would work.
About two years in, as demand grew for videography alongside photography, they invested in video gear and expanded the team, a decision that became one of the studio’s biggest turning points, and the foundation for the combined photo-and-video approach Senica is known for today.
More than a decade on, our approach has remained the same. We believe the best memories aren’t created by constantly directing every moment, but by knowing when to gently guide and when to quietly step back.
We want you to spend less time thinking about the camera and more time being present with the people you love, trusting us to notice the fleeting moments that often become the most treasured memories.

Sebastian

Sebastian is Senica’s lead photographer and co-founder, a hybrid shooter equally at ease behind a camera or a video rig, and the one who trains the rest of the team. Meticulous and endlessly organised, he brings a steady, grounded energy to every shoot. Behind the camera, he’s often the one lifting the mood, bringing warmth, humour and a reassuring presence that helps couples forget about the rush, ease their nerves, and start the day with a smile.
Outside weddings, he’s usually chasing something in the sky, in the undergrowth, or in the wild — astrophotography, macro, and wildlife are his going ones. Ask him almost anything and there’s a good chance he already knows the answer :P

Monica

Monica is Senica’s co-founder, overseeing everything from client experience and marketing to editing each gallery with the studio’s signature style. Often the first person couples speak to, she’s passionate about making the journey feel just as enjoyable as the wedding day itself, offering thoughtful guidance, answering countless questions, and making sure every couple feels supported from their very first enquiry to the day their memories are delivered.
Outside of weddings, Monica finds joy in life’s slower moments, hiking mountain trails, practising yoga, and getting lost in a good book. She’s also mum to an extremely active, cheeky toddler who keeps her on her toes and reminds her daily just how quickly the little moments become cherished memories. An animal lover through and through, she’s still undecided in the lifelong tea-versus-coffee debate, and there’s almost always a Kindle tucked away in her bag.

Sebas and Mon are also very lucky to work alongside the growing team of photographers and videographers.

“We are able to come this far because of the opportunities we have been so privileged with, and we will always be thankful to our team! “

Xian Rong

Xian Rong is Senica’s lead videographer, and one of the fastest ways to turn a nervous morning into a room full of laughter. Sensitive to the moment and full of energy, he has a knack for lighting up whatever room he’s in.
He’s also a fellow tech geek, put him and Sebastian in the same room and be prepared for a conversation that spirals into things you never knew you needed to know. Everyone ends up listening anyway, because it’s genuinely fun.

Edmund

Edmund is Senica’s senior photographer, with a sharp, experienced eye that adapts easily to each couple’s personality on the day. His creativity and technical eye have also earned him the winning title at the Canon PhotoMarathon Competition in both 2017 and 2022.
Off the clock, he’s a serious collector, an entire room dedicated to displaying his pieces, including a life-size Spider-Man, arranged with museum-level care. His love for the character runs deep enough that he cosplays as Spidey on his days off. At home, he’s kept busy by his corgi, Pudding.

Stephanie

Often spotted around with her film cameras and her creative bits of literature, our associate photographer Stephanie’s meticulous eye for detail and pursue for artistic touches has contributed to many beautiful and memorable moments for couples.

Her experience as a photo-journalist also brings forth a fresh perspective when it comes to wedding photography.

Xuan

Xuan joined Senica as an intern, and it’s been a genuine joy watching her progress into a photographer in her own right. With a calm and attentive presence, Xuan finds beauty in the raw and unscripted moments that often go unnoticed amid the excitement of a wedding day. Rather than chasing picture-perfect frames, she focuses on genuine emotions, fleeting interactions, and the small details that reflect the true essence of each celebration.
Outside of weddings, Xuan loves travelling with a camera in hand, discovering new places and collecting stories along the way. She’s naturally curious whether it’s keeping up with world events, diving into a gripping mystery, or falling down the rabbit hole of a true crime documentary. She’s also the first to laugh wholeheartedly, and just as quick to tear up during an emotional speech.
